My plant has died. The weather was too wet recently. I realized that it was going to die a couple days earlier, as its stem was turning black. I moved it into sunlight and improved the ventilation, but these measures couldn't prevent a process already happening. When I pulled it from the soil, the underground part was fungal.
I acquired the knowledge to save it, that I should've replaced the contaminated soil. However, in the past few days, I did not have the means, material or mental, to handle the process. It died from my (metaphysical) poverty. I might be more skilled with houseplants in the future, or be more confident on performing surgeries on them, but this specific plant would remain in the past.
The experience, idea and memory are not going to die like the plant. This will not happen again.
